Veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty left his fans worried when reports stated that he was rushed to a Kolkata hospital on Saturday, February 10, after he complained about chest pains. While multiple media reports stated that he was diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) of the brain, his son Mimoh Chakraborty and daughter-in-law Madalsa Sharma dismissed the reports. Now, an official from the medical facility has shared an update on his health.
Talking about the BJP leader’s health, an official stated that his health has improved and his condition is quite stable. As reported by Times Now News on Sunday, the official went on to express that the Chakraborty has started consuming soft diest. He will be undergoing certain investigations before he is discharged. The official said, “He is recuperating well, is fully conscious, well-oriented, active, and has consumed a soft diet. The 73-year-old actor has already undergone an MRI and other medical tests at the hospital.
For the unversed, Mithun was recently honoured with Padma Bhushan Award, the third-highest civilian award in the country. Having worked extensively in the Indian entertainment industry, he expressed his gratitude on receiving the award through a video message. He had said, “I am proud, I am happy to have received this award. I would like to thank everyone. I have never asked anything for myself from anyone. I am experiencing the feeling of receiving something without asking today. It’s a different feeling altogether. Having established himself as a versatile actor in recent years, Mithun Chakraborty went on to join the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in 2021, just ahead of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections the same year.
